Un mini interviu cu “părintele aiko” Niko Stumpo (foto), un italian stabilit în Amsterdam, un artist nonconformist.

1. A few words about the history of AiKO! How it was borned?

Was borned from the desire to create something in witch we belived. I created it with Cristian Palmiotto, an old friend of mine, since the days we where travelling around Europe skateboarding.

2. You are a designer. What is the difference between working for big clients and working for AiKO?

For clients you have to follow certain directions and specifications, with Aiko we are free to do what we want.

3. What are the most important projects you were involved in as an artist?

I think all the projects are important, I always work like it was my last project I can do.

4. Your artwork was exhibited in places like Sao Paolo, Paris, New York, Barcelona, Venice. How would you feel about doing this in Romania to?

Would be an awesome occasion for me to see a country witch is just reborned, new people wit a will to create new things.

5. What inspires you when you create for AiKO?

My friends.

6. Hanazuki Studio? What is it’s role in the developement of AiKO?

I run the Hanazuki studio too, aiko is like the little brother of hanazuki.

7. “Death & Glory”, “Don’t Mind A Little Pain”, “Destroy Everything For A Better Tomorrow”. A few words about the slogans…
